Located on Maranhão´s Caburé river beach, 34 km from Barreirinhas, The Pousada is built in such a way to not standout from the local rustic style, with its 10 chalets built with straw roofs and brick and wooden walls.

It offers individual chalets located in between of the Preguicas river and the Atlantic Ocean.

As there is no electricity in Caburé, the restaurant of the pousada works with generator and the candles are the only source of light inside of the cottages when the night falls. Naturally other modern facilities such as hot water, television or air-conditioning are not available either, but don’t worry the heavy winds of this region will refresh your nights and the dark sky filled with thousands of stars is an another spectacular itself.

An over nights stay in Caburé, at the Pousada Porto Buriti can be recommended for anyone who wants to experience the pureness of the nature and is not afraid of the simplicity of Caburé.
